Mujuretuli

Mujuretuli is a red variety from Racha, grown along the Rioni in the Ambrolauri and Tsageri districts and usually interplanted with Aleksandrouli. The two are distinct varieties that share a common ancestor, and together they make the naturally semi-sweet Khvanchkara PDO. The grape reaches very high sugar levels — 25–30% — and on its own gives well-coloured, balanced reds.
