Kvemo Kartli, Bolnisi district: the basins of the Mashavera and the Khrami, with vineyards at 500–800 m. The zone covers the town of Bolnisi and more than twenty villages. The wines are white, amber, red and rosé, all dry: the whites from Rkatsiteli, Chinuri and Goruli Mtsvane, the reds from Saperavi, Shavkapito, Tavkveri and Asuretuli Shavi.

No known authenticity issues

Bolnisi is a PDO from the Bolnisi area of Kvemo (Lower) Kartli, permitting several styles — white, amber, rosé and red — from a range of grape varieties. It is a broad, comparatively new Kartli appellation with no notable authenticity concern; the wine should come from the registered Bolnisi zone.
