Tsarapi

Kakheti, Gurjaani district: the lands near Kardenakhi, between Bakurtsikhe and Anaga, at 350–550 m. Rkatsiteli is the main variety, and up to 15 per cent of Mtsvane Kakhuri and Khikhvi may be added. The wine is amber dry — fermented on the skins. The alcohol must be at least twelve per cent.

Tsarapi is a dry white/amber PDO from Kakheti, based on a Rkatsiteli blend. It is a niche appellation with no notable authenticity concern; the wine should come from the registered Tsarapi zone.
