Khikhvi

Khikhvi, also known as Jananura, is a white variety from Kakheti. It is aromatic and versatile: in the European style it gives pale straw-coloured wines, in qvevri darker and fuller ones with ripe and dried fruit notes, and it is particularly valued for dessert wines. Together with Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane Kakhuri it is used for the fortified Kardenakhi PDO.
