Kakheti, Akhmeta district: the villages of Magraani, Pichkhovani, Argokhi and Babaneuri at 400–800 m. Kisi is the only variety allowed, and the wine is made white or amber — that is, on the skins. The yield is capped at eight tonnes per hectare.

Magraani is a dry white and amber PDO from Kakheti, made from the Kisi grape, giving aromatic whites and skin-contact ambers. It is a niche varietal appellation with no notable authenticity concern; the wine should be Kisi from the registered zone. Note spelling variants such as 'Magriaani' and 'Kisi Magrani'.
