Usakhelouri

Usakhelouri — literally 'nameless' — is a red variety from Lechkhumi, also known as Okureshuli; the historian Ivane Javakhishvili linked its name to the village of Usakhelo. It is grown on a very small area, mainly in the Tsageri district, with some recent plantings in Kakheti. It gives dry and naturally semi-sweet reds that are intensely coloured and aromatic, with high acidity and light tannins.
