Rkatsiteli Muskaturi

Rkatsiteli Muskaturi is a white crossing of Rkatsiteli and Muscat of Alexandria bred at the Georgian Agricultural Institute by V. Kantaria and N. Chakhnashvili; growers also call it Tbilisuri. The berries are pale green-yellow with a brownish blush on the sunny side, thick-skinned and juicy, with a pleasant muscat flavour; the vine is vigorous and productive and reaches 22–24% sugar at about 6.3 g/l acidity. It is a dual-purpose variety: a table grape and a source of dry white wine, which at Tchotiashvili is also made amber in qvevri.
