Mtsvivani

Mtsvivani is the name of a group of Georgian white varieties; on labels it almost always means Kakhuri Mtsvivani, which Georgian regulations recommend for Inner Kakheti. That variety grows in small vineyards on the left bank of the Alazani, in the Kvareli and Telavi districts. It gives delicate, fairly light dry whites with a pleasant varietal aroma, is sometimes pressed together with Rkatsiteli and is also made in qvevri.
