Meskhuri Mtsvane

Meskhuri Mtsvane is a white variety from Meskheti, found around the villages of Atskuri and Gurkeli; it differs from Goruli and Kakhuri Mtsvane in bunch, berry and leaf, and Georgian regulations recommend it for the Meskheti zone. It ripens in mid-October with high acidity and gives a light, lower-alcohol dry white; it is also used as a base for sparkling wine.
