Malbec

Malbec — Côt in French ampelography — is a red variety from south-western France; VIVC records its parents as Prunelard and Magdeleine Noire des Charentes, the latter also a parent of Merlot. In Georgia it is grown on a small scale, for varietal reds and blends.
