Kapistoni

Kapistoni, fully Kapistoni Tetri, is a white variety from Imereti, recommended by Georgian regulations for Upper and Middle Imereti; VIVC holds both female-flowered and hermaphrodite forms. It ripens at the end of September or in early October and is made as still white wine, in the European and the Imeretian way, and as sparkling wine. It should not be confused with the red Kapistoni Shavi of Racha and Lechkhumi.
