Kachich

Kachich (Kachichi) is a dark-berried variety from Abkhazia and, together with Auasyrkhua and Amlakhu, one of the grapes most associated with Abkhazian wine. Genotyping of local cultivars showed it to be distinct from most other Abkhazian varieties and closest to Azhapsh. Georgian regulations list it among the varieties recommended for the Abkhazia zone.
