Goruli Mtsvane

Goruli Mtsvane — 'the green one of Gori' — is a white variety from Kartli, planted mostly on alluvial soils along the Mtkvari, including the Ateni valley; it is a different variety from Mtsvane Kakhuri. Its wines are light and fresh, with lively acidity, and because it oxidises easily it is often blended with Chinuri or Rkatsiteli. Together with Chinuri it goes into the sparkling Atenuri PDO.
