Chitistvala

Chitistvala — 'bird's eye' — is a name shared by several distinct white varieties: VIVC lists Chitistvala Bodburi from Kakheti, Chitistvala Meskhuri and Chitistvala Tetri. The Kakhetian form, recommended by Georgian regulations for Inner Kakheti, survives mostly as single vines among Mtsvane and Rkatsiteli around Bodbe; its light yellow berries are uneven in size. It gives dry whites in both the European and the Kakhetian way.
