Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a white variety from Burgundy; DNA data recorded in VIVC show it to be an offspring of Pinot and Gouais Blanc. Georgia's official list of permitted varieties names it and recommends it for Upper and Middle Imereti. Georgian producers use it for varietal dry whites and blends.
