Inner Kakheti, the middle Alazani: the strip between the Chermiskhevi and Papriskhevi tributaries on the slopes of Tsiv-Gombori. The zone covers Akhasheni, Zegaani, Chumlaki and the neighbouring lands. Saperavi is the only variety and the wine is red naturally semi-sweet. The yield is capped at ten tonnes per hectare.
